Welcome to the Franklin Crossing Neighbourhood Association
Residents’ and Community Associations are the driving force behind enhancing the well-being of our neighborhoods. These volunteer-based organizations are dedicated to addressing a wide range of community concerns, such as traffic management, housing, environmental initiatives, green spaces, safety, and security.
We invite you to connect with your local Residents’ and Community Association and actively participate in your neighborhood’s betterment. Your involvement can make a meaningful difference in shaping a vibrant and harmonious community.
SECURITY ALERT!
Here’s a cautionary tale to keep in mind. A Franklin Crossing homeowner had some valuable property stolen from his garage recently. Apparently, this is how it happened: Many garages in this neighbourhood have a side door with a sliding window and a fixed screen. This resident had opened the window for ventilation, and forgotten to close it. Under cover of darkness, a prowling burglar evidently discovered it, and was able to push in the screen without making any noise that might attract attention (as would have been the case with breaking glass). The thief then simply reached in through the…
FCNA Fall General Meeting Postponed
Many Franklin Crossing homeowners may recall that we had planned to hold another general meeting of our Neighbourhood Association this fall. However, due to several unforeseen circumstances, your Steering Committee has decided to postpone this meeting until a later date. It will now most likely be held early in 2025. This will allow us more time to deal with a number of outstanding issues, and we would by then hope to be in a position to report some more substantial progress. Resolution of the shared roadway issue remains our top priority, although it continues to be a slow and difficult…
2024 Report on FCNA Annual General Meeting
June 19, 2024 The Steering Committee thanks all who turned out to participate on such an unseasonably hot evening, and acknowledges those who sent regrets due to other commitments. There’s a clear lesson here; June is not a good time to plan an AGM, and we shall endeavour in future years to hold this event prior to the May long weekend. In his welcoming remarks, interim chairman Ted Bartlett emphasized the importance of community involvement in shaping neighbourhood initiatives. The attendance of Ward 2 Councillor Daniel Bourgeois was much appreciated. Councillor Charles Leger sent regrets, as he was out of…

Earth Day 2024 Neighbourhood Cleanup Report
