It’s almost time for our spring general meeting, which your Steering Committee has scheduled for Wednesday
evening, June 19 th , at 6:30 pm. Once again, Blair Height has arranged to have the community room at the
Riverview Superstore made available for our use, and pizza will be served, compliments of Loblaw’s.
This notice is intended primarily as a heads-up – the agenda is still being developed. Suggestions for discussion
are welcome; please contact Ted Bartlett or Steve Kikkert.
As this will be our annual general meeting, your Steering Committee elected in January will be up for
ratification/re-election. If you are interested in helping guide our neighbourhood association’s future, please
feel free to self-nominate. New volunteers are welcome!
Ted would like to remind everyone that he had agreed to act as chair of the Steering Committee only until the
spring general meeting. A new chair is needed, as he is not able to commit to the leadership role long-term.
Also on our agenda will be a discussion of how we would like to structure the association (without being too
formal), what neighbourhood activities we could organize, what we would like to see on our website, and how
we might go about financing our activities. (We will need to have a treasurer and a bank account for this
purpose.)
